Why Equator
Good records. A useful conversation. A clearer next step.
Your agreed bookkeeping scope includes reconciliations, a profit and loss statement, a balance sheet and brief commentary on changes that deserve attention.
A scheduled 30-minute monthly review connects the reports to your business questions. When you need deeper analysis, we agree the deliverables and price first.
Bookkeeping is the foundation. Understanding what changed is what makes the reports useful.
Meet your bookkeeper & business partner
Robert Kagundah
I’m Robert Kagundah. Before founding Equator, I spent two decades leading food and manufacturing operations, with responsibility for the numbers and the decisions behind them. I know a report is most useful when you can connect it to what is happening in the business.
Today, I bring that perspective to carefully scoped remote bookkeeping. You work directly with me, with an agreed monthly routine and time to discuss your reports. I hold an MBA, an Intuit bookkeeping certificate and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Level 1 certification.
How It Works
A straightforward start. A steady monthly rhythm.

Questions Worth Answering Upfront
A few things you may be wondering.
Do I need a complicated business to work with Equator?
No. Well-organized, straightforward businesses are a strong fit. We review volume, accounts and service requirements so the engagement is manageable and useful.
Do you work with clients outside Arizona?
Yes. Equator serves clients remotely nationwide. Documents and access arrangements are agreed during onboarding, and calls are scheduled in advance.
What software do you use?
QuickBooks Online is our preferred accounting platform. We confirm your subscription and any connected systems during the scope review.
What if my books need catching up?
We first review the records and quote any cleanup separately. Timing depends on the periods involved, the state of the file and access to supporting documents.
What does the monthly review cover?
One scheduled 30-minute conversation about your financial snapshot, changes in the numbers and questions within the agreed scope. A deeper forecast or analysis can be priced as a separate project.
Do you prepare tax returns or provide audit services?
The core service is bookkeeping and management reporting. Tax returns, assurance services and legal advice are outside the package. We can coordinate the agreed records handoff with your tax professional.
